SUNDAY LOUNGE

(For 11-14yr olds)

The Sunday Lounge meets on a Sunday...as the name suggests! We meet during the second part of the service for around 40 minutes. Here you have the chance to talk to friends, play a game or two, hear about God and talk about things you might not quite get about Christianity.

Check out our Sunday Service to find out what else goes on on a Sunday. We meet at 10:30am till 12:00pm (ish) in which the Sunday Lounge go out around 11:20am (ish).

Sunday Kitchen

SUNDAY KITCHEN

(For 15-18yr olds)

The Sunday Kitchen meets on a Sunday during the second part of the service for around 40 minutes. This group is a split off from the Sunday Lounge due to the size of the group and depth of questions about Christianity. This group meets to open and explore what the Bible has to say about what life is all about. As well as having the opportunity to explore what the Bible has to say, there will be opportunity for members to lead sessions!!

The Sunday Kitchen goes on during our Sunday Service. We meet every Sunday at 10:30am till 12:00pm (ish) in which the Sunday Kitchen go out around 11:20am (ish).

Rock it!!

YOUTH BAND

(11-21yr olds)

This new group has started for those who are interested in music in any shape or form! If you know how to play an instrument, great...but even if you don't, come along and you can learn!!!! We are looking to set up our own band made entirely of young people! This group will write and record songs, and then produce them onto a CD to keep or pass around to mates!!!

You can be a pro musician or just starting out - it doesn't matter. Just come and get involved - who knows in a years time you could be performing with your friends in church or having your own gigs!

Olly Armstrong is a freelance musician who will be training, recording and leading these sessions. If you would like to run any questions about the youth band past him, please ask Tim Davies for his contact details. Alternatively email questions to Tim Davies.

A Friday night of fun, games, drama, laughter and an opportunity to think about some really thought-provoking subjects relating to life as a young person today.

It is held upstairs in the new building on Exeter Road, entrance is via the side door between the Church and the new building. Doors open at 7:30pm and the session ends at 9:00pm, when there is a tuck-shop, dances, connect 4 and chill-out space until 9:30pm, you are free to go any time between 9:00pm and 9:30pm, most people decide they want to stay!

'The Zone' is a youth group for teenagers who are serious about making their lives count and learning how to live for Jesus. The group meets every Friday from 7:30pm-9:30pm in Selly Oak, in a house on Warwards Lane. They also hold occassional outreach nights in the church building, take a look at some of the photos below:

'Impact' is a lunchtime club that meets every Friday lunchtime (1:10pm - 1:55pm) at Colmers School in Rubery. It exists to encourage, excite and equip young Christians to live for Jesus in their school as well letting people come and ask about God and Christianity. Damian Carr and Tim Davies go into Colmers once a week, if you or your child attends Colmers then come and say 'Hi' we meet in Room 10!

Dance & Drama

(For 11-18yr olds)

Every alternate Monday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm we meet at Elim Church Centre. Here you get the chance to learn some fun dances and dramas with a Christian message as well as having the chance to chip in and make up your own dances and dramas with the rest of the group.

Here is the perfect opportunity to exercise your football skills, we have a F.A trained coach who trains through varried training exercises whilst including plenty of 'conditional' matches! We meet at 10:30am on Gibbins Road in Selly Oak and we play for 2 hours. There is a charge of £1 which is put into the running of our 11 a-side team.

Fancy coming down one week? Wear your football boots and your shin pads if you've got them! If you are not sure where Gibbins Road is, click here for a map, we play on the grass area on the right of the arrow, this area is near Sainsburys in Selly Oak.
