Selly Oak Elim Pool League
This page contains the results from ONLY the League Seasons. For the TOURNAMENT results go to the Tournament Results Page.
Season Three was different again and was a frame of 8 ball followed by a frame of 9 ball with everyone playing everyone else twice, once "at home" and once "away" as is done in football but was split into two divisions again. Division One was the best four players (who were still playing) from Season Two, and Division Two was the only other player from Season Two plus one new player and one player who didn't play in Season Two. Unfortunately there were two matches which failed to be played and so it was decided to award "average" season's points to the two players who had turned up to play and 0 points to the player who had been unable to make the fixtures.
Consequently, the results were :- Division One 1st with 196 points - Steve Cleaver 2nd with 191 points - Tony Pash (awarded season's average of 32 points for non-played match) 3rd with 154 points - Nathan Rivett (awarded season's average of 26 points for non-played match) 4th with 138 points - Colin Fell
Division Two 1st with 147 points - John Hewett 2nd with 141 points - Jon Faulkner (awarded 0 LEAGUE points for non-played match but received 80 HANDICAP points) 3rd with 135 points - Cath Faulkner
Season Two was straight 9 ball pool. The idea is to always hit the lowest numbered ball still on the table first, but the winner is the person who pots the number 9 ball (hence it's name) without committing a foul. There was only one division and the fight for 2nd place went right down to the wire. 1st with 20 points was Scott Pash 2nd with 16 points was Nathan Rivett 3rd with 15 points was Steve Cleaver 4th with 14 points was Emma Shelton Again there was a Special Award, this time for the FASTEST FRAME in the League Season and this went to Nathan Rivett.
Season One was a straight 8 ball pool season with three divisions of four players each, roughly split according to skill level. Points were awarded for winning or drawing a frame. Division One was won by Jon Faulkner. Division Two was won by Tony Pash. Division Three was won by Becky Hitchins. There was also a Special Award for the player who had committed the least number of fouls, but who hadn't already won a trophy. First was Jon Faulkner, Second was Tony Pash and Third was Cath Faulkner. Consequently, as Jon and Tony had already won trophies, Cath received the Special Award.
